ABOUT US
Our mission
It is difficult to summarize the entirety of our mission without first articulating the trials we have faced and what brought us to this point. We started out as an isolated group sharing commentary on political campaigns and a desire to live a holistic lifestyle, after being removed from Instagram for opposing corporate agendas, we found ourselves on Telegram around 2016.
It was there where we operated as The Western Nationalist and would propagate several National Socialist tenets without having been subjected to any propaganda at all. After familiarizing ourselves with the National Socialist worldview, we found the Church of Aryanity and were truly inspired to share a more radical message. Which came at a perfect time, because the White Lives Matter initiative had just recently taken off and we seized the opportunity to expand our reach.
On the tail wind of White Lives Matter came an enigma commonly referred to as Active Clubs, with Rob Rundo as it's defacto forerunner. This was when we formed the Wild Rose Active Club since WLM wasn't interested in supporting the development of regional clubs. It was when Telegram censored our content that we realized how much of a lost cause the platform itself was. This was when we rebranded ourselves as Wild Rose Ultras and began creating our own website independent of well-known social media platforms.
The first iteration of our website was branded as Canadian Ultras and the club assumed the same name. Some time later, it became clear that any form of civic-nationalism including ultra-nationalism and an identity tied to Canada as a whole was destined to be a failure. As too many nationalists lack the ability to think as an ethnic imperialist or race realist, hence the Vinland Resistance Movement was born to provide a space for Europeans who don't identify with the objectives or values of a modern Canada and who wish to return to the old ways.
Core values
The Vinland Resistance Movement's core values have been best documented in the following codices, each relating to a different aspect of our daily lives:While these codices are not fully comprehensive and do not address several avenues of our worldview, after having familiarized oneself with the points in these codices, it is not difficult at all to extrapolate our position on other matters not included here.
Core philosophy
The Vinland Resistance Movement's core philosophy is at it's root a blend of national socialism, historical revisionism and ecofascism as defined below. These elements are apparent to virtually anyone who has studied either philosophy on its own without prejudice.- National Socialism refers to the ideology of the German Workers' Party, which combined elements of nationalism, race realism, and socialism. National socialism emphasized the strength of one's particular nation or ethnic group, often out of necessity, and sought to create a totalitarian state that safeguarded the interests of the nation.
- Historical Revisionism involves the reinterpretation of historical events or periods, often challenging established narratives or orthodox views. Historical revisionism can be a legitimate and necessary process in the pursuit of historical accuracy and understanding, as new evidence emerges or as perspectives shift over time.
- Eco Fascism combines the principles of ecology with the tactics of fascism. Ecologists focus on the relationship of humans with the natural environment. They argue that current consumption and economic practices must be altered to become environmentally sustainable. Eco Fascism advocates for radical forms of environmental preservation, such as population control, as opposed to more moderate ideas.
Core religiousity
The Vinland Resistance Movement's core religious beliefs is an amalgamation of Asatru, Irminism and Wotanism as defined below. These elements are apparent to virtually anyone who has studied either practice on its own without prejudice.- Asatru is a modern polytheistic religion that focuses on the worship of ancient Germanic and Scandinavian gods and spirits. The name “Asatru” is derived from Old Norse words meaning “faith in the Æsir,” which are a group of gods in Norse mythology. Asatru typically involves the worship of various Norse deities, including Thor, Odin, Freyja, Frigg, Freyr, Tyr, Loki, and Heimdall.
- Irminism is a reconstructed form of Germanic paganism that focuses on the worship of a deity named Irmin. According to historical and mythological accounts, Irmin is the son of Mannus, a figure in the creation myths of the Germanic tribes, and is often associated with strength and greatness.
- Wotanism is a European neo-völkisch paganist movement founded in the early 1990s by Ron McVan, Katja Lane, and David Lane. It is a racial religion that promotes European excellency and is based on the worship of Odin, the Germanic god known as Wotan. The movement combines elements of Norse paganism, emphasizing European separatism and the belief in the excellency of the European race.
